Individual short-term or long-term therapy in California for people who are ready to get unstuck, find more satisfaction in life, improve self-esteem and overall functioning.

History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived, but if faced with courage, need not be lived again.

Out-of-Network Benefits: For clients with other insurance plans, you may be eligible for full or partial reimbursement as part of "out of network" benefits. In this case, clients pay for the full session fee upfront and then submit a superbill to their insurance company for reimbursement following the session. A superbill includes all of the necessary information to submit the claim to your insurance company.

Understanding Out-of-Network Benefits:

To learn more about your out-of-network coverage for psychotherapy, it is recommended that you contact your insurance company prior to initiating therapy. Some questions to ask:

  • How much coverage is available for out-of-network providers? Does the insurance plan reimburse for the full session or a percentage of the total fee?

  • Does your insurance plan set limits on the total number of visits/sessions per calendar year?

  • Do they set limits on the total amount reimbursed per session? If so, ask how much they reimburse for the following "CPT Codes", otherwise known as a procedure codes:

    • 90791 (the first intake appointment)

    • 90834 (a typical 45-minute individual psychotherapy session)

    • 90837 (an extended 60-minute individual psychotherapy session)
